The SwingBack Pro works best on flat, hard surfaces — driveways, patios, tennis courts, concrete, and asphalt. We don't recommend grass, sand, or uneven ground as the base may shift during play.
Both work great. For maximum stability, we recommend filling with a mix of sand AND water — this creates the heaviest, most locked-in base. Water alone is fine for lighter practice sessions and easier cleanup.
